1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Site Masters Agency OÜ ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Estonia, handles information in connection with the ClassVault browser extension and the website at getclassvault.com (collectively, the "Service").

We are committed to protecting your privacy. ClassVault is designed with a privacy-first architecture: all video detection and downloading happens entirely within your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit your video content, browsing history, or personal data to any external server except as explicitly described below.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

ClassVault does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

  • Video files or video content you download
  • Your browsing history, page URLs, or navigation behavior
  • Cookies or session tokens from any third-party website (including Skool)
  • Analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking data of any kind
  • Device fingerprints, IP addresses, or geolocation data
  • Any form of advertising identifiers or tracking pixels

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or any similar tracking service on our website or in the extension.

3. Local Processing

All core functionality of ClassVault operates entirely within your browser:

  • Video detection: The extension analyzes the DOM of web pages you visit to identify embedded video players. This analysis runs locally in your browser and no page content is sent to our servers.
  • Video downloading: Videos are downloaded directly from the video hosting provider (e.g., Mux, Vimeo, Loom) to your local device. Our servers are never involved in the download process.
  • Session cookies: The extension may access your existing authenticated session on platforms like Skool to detect videos on pages you have legitimate access to. These cookies are read locally by the extension and are never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
  • Download history and settings: Your download history, preferences, and queue data are stored locally in your browser using the browser's built-in storage APIs (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your device.

4. License Validation

The only data ClassVault transmits to our servers is for license validation purposes. When you activate a PRO license, the following data is sent to our license validation server:

  • Email address: The email you used to purchase your license.
  • License key: The unique license key issued to you upon purchase.

This data is transmitted over HTTPS and is used solely to verify that your license is valid and active. We do not use this data for marketing, analytics, or any purpose other than license management.

5. Payment Processing

We do not process or store payment information directly. All payment processing is handled by trusted third-party payment processors:

When you make a purchase, your payment data (card number, PayPal credentials, or cryptocurrency wallet information) is sent directly to the respective payment processor and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We only receive a transaction confirmation, your email address, and the payment amount from the processor.

6. Data Stored on Our Servers

The only personal data we store on our servers is:

  • Your email address (provided at purchase)
  • Your license key
  • Transaction identifiers from payment processors
  • Purchase date and amount

This data is stored securely and used exclusively for license management, customer support, and processing refund requests.

7. Website Cookies

Our website at getclassvault.com does not use cookies for analytics or tracking. The only cookies that may be set are:

  • Essential cookies required by payment processors during the checkout process.
  • Language preference cookies to remember your EN/ES selection.

8. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes. The only third parties that receive data are the payment processors listed in Section 5, and only the data necessary to process your payment.

9. Data Retention

We retain your email address and license information for as long as your license is active, plus an additional period required by tax and accounting regulations in Estonia and the European Union. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove all non-legally-required information within 30 days.

10. Your Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Estonian data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Portability: Request a machine-readable copy of your data.
  • Object: Object to the processing of your data for specific purposes.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS. Since the vast majority of ClassVault's functionality operates locally on your device, the attack surface for your data is minimal.

12. Children's Privacy

ClassVault is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
